摘要

This paper aims to validate the taxonomies of EcoDesign strategies based on the three dimensions of managerial commitment and support (MCS), process and technical competence (PTC), and supply chain relationship (SCR), and to examine their effects on the financial performance of a firm. Specifically, this study assesses the different dimensions of EcoDesign strategies that influence a firm's performance. This study obtained data from 233 firms in Taiwan as its sample base, and used cluster analysis to develop taxonomies and regression analysis to test EcoDesign-performance linkages. The results reveal a three-cluster solution in which strategies are labeled as leading-edge, corporate-oriented, and passive-oriented. Regression results show that the overall model emphasizes on all the EcoDesign dimensions, which in turn affects performance significantly, particularly in SCR.
