摘要

Cirque du Soleil is one of the most recognized entertainment companies in the world, with 21 different circus shows and more than 1, 500 artists. Created in 1984, Cirque du Soleil imposed a completely new style of circus show integrating theatre, live singers and musicians, dancers, clowns, and among the best acrobats in the world. All these aspects are organized around a story and each detail contributes to the ‘wow’ effect. In order to get this high level of performance, Cirque du Soleil has developed a unique training program for selected athletes and artists in Montreal. This program, offered over a 20-week period, covers artistic, acrobatic and physical training, second-language learning, performance nutritional and psychological support, and medical care. A very extensive team of specialists, including interpreters as a main resource, works on a daily basis with artists in training in a group or individual manner.
