摘要

The purpose of this study was to establish skills standards for handicraftsmen in the cultural and creative bamboo industry. In-depth interviews and Delphi techniques were employed in this study to achieve the goal. After three rounds of questionnaire surveys of 10 bamboo handicraft experts, the following conclusions were made: 1) 12 skill items and 63 skills standards can be recommended in this study. They are expected to be applicable to bamboo handicraftsmen training, development and assessment; 2) the bamboo expert-handicraftsmen stated that the most important skills standard should focus on hands-on skills instead of using cultural elements or exploring international trends; 3) the bamboo handicraftsmen prefer to make bamboo handicrafts by using handiwork carving instead of sandblast carving or laser carving.
