This study focuses on employing STEM Education for environmental sustainability at the university level and exploring the possibility of STEM literacy. Due to rapidly changing environmental issues, many industrial policies must adapt to sustainable development goals. Although the Taiwanese government also pushes new policies regarding these subjects, not many universities currently incorporate the related courses on sustainability education. This research investigates the current condition of Taiwanese sustainability education at higher education and seeks to adopt the STEM education method to promote students' critical thinking in this topic. The evaluation of STEM literacy with sustainability education will include the students' workshop outcome at National Taiwan Normal University, Department of design. The workshop employs Circular Design Guide from Ellen MacArthur Foundation and IDEO to explore reality-based knowledge, case studies, and group discussion. The workshop outcome will apply to the revised Bloom's Taxonomy for measuring the achievement level of STEM literacy in education for sustainable development.
