N2 - There are generally three approaches a woman gets involved in the family business of her family: entrepreneurship, succession, and career change (Campopiano et al., 2017. However, women’s influences and contributions to her family business are not limited to their professional capacity. It has been well documented that the mother of a family business plays an essential role in developing the family (Kaslow, 1998; Bonner and Bonner, 2012: Smith, 2014). Building on the literature of women’s family business participation and family studies from other disciplines, this chapter explores the uniqueness of paternal aunts in family and its implications to the family business.
