摘要
The purpose of this study was to investigate clinical nurses' Internet self-efficacy and motivations toward Web-based learning. The sample consisted of 256 volunteer nurses from one selected medical centre in Taiwan. This study used the Internet Self-efficacy Survey (ISS) and the Motivations about Web-based Continuing Learning Survey (MWCL) for the investigation. The results showed that the ISS and MWCL were deemed to be sufficiently reliable for assessing nurses' Internet self-efficacy and motivations toward Web-based learning. It was also found that the nurses' motivations toward this approach to learning were predicted by their self-efficacy in terms of the Internet as well as their service years; that is, nurses with higher Internet self-efficacy and less working experience tended to display higher motivations for Web-based continuing learning.
