In this special issue, we introduce rich issues of regional innovation systems in East Asia, including entrepreneurship, biotechnology innovation, building extra-regional networks, value creation, institutions and innovation, and evolving nature in the regional innovation system. In this special issue, the authors provide great contributions to this academic field by displaying their insights on regional innovation system in East Asia.
