N2 - Morphing techniques have been applied to many fields to create astounding visual effects. In this paper, we present a hierarchical feature-based volume morphing algorithm, which leverages the idea of feature-element hierarchy to significantly improve morphing effects. A new type of feature element, the cylinder field, is also given to facilitate the task of feature specification and correspondence. Additionally, with a slight modification, the proposed algorithm can be applied to volume animation.
