摘要

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of different learning tools on the learning achievement of elementary school students in programming. A quasi-experimental research design was adopted in this study, and the subjects were 39 sixth-grade students in two classes at a national elementary school in Kaohsiung City in Taiwan. The two classes were divided into a task scaffolding educational console programming group and a web simulator group. Both groups implemented the same MakeCode Arcade platform programming curriculum and conducted a three-lesson experiment. An ANCOVA was used to analyze programming learning achievement in programming. The results showed that educational console programming with task scaffolding helped to improve the learning achievement and motivation of the learners in programming.
