We explored the effects of creative components and creative behavior on student design creativity. In total, 240 junior high school students were recruited. Structural equation modeling was used to examine the influence of creative components and planned behavior components on student idea creativity and product creativity. Subsequently, a theoretical model was constructed. The main conclusions of this study are as follows: (1) Creative components significantly affect both idea creativity and product creativity, particularly in terms of creative thinking. (2) Planned behavior components significantly affect both idea creativity and product creativity, particularly in terms of product creativity.
