摘要

This study explores the digital reading behavior of graduate students from a Library and Information Science (LIS) Program. By making a connection between their habits and various forms of capital that may shape their reading behavior, this study adopts a qualitative approach, examining the four key concepts of Bourdieu’s practice theory: habitus, economic capital, cultural capital, and social capital. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with fifteen students at National Taiwan Normal University. The result of this study indicates that the four key concepts of Bourdieu theory do influence the LIS graduate students’ digital reading behavior, and may provide librarians, faculty, and students’ thesis supervisors with suggestions for improving adaptive learning in the information society.
