N2 - The atomic potential energy for Pd adatom diffusion across W (111) islands and surfaces was determined. The terrace diffusion energy is 1.02±0.06 eV. The activation energy for step up, step down, and detachment are 1.84±0.07 eV, 1.63±0.06 eV, and 1.72±0.07 eV, respectively. The potential energy slope due to the free energy anisotropy is 0.013 eV/4.47 Å.
