摘要
The adsorption of oxygen on ultrathin films and the composition of Cu-O films prepared on Pt(111) substrate was studied. The density of adsorbed oxygen doubles as the copper cleavage reduced from 2 to 0.4 monolayers for oxygen saturated copper films. A higher possibility of adsorption for oxygen was found at submonolayer range. Incorporation of oxygen in the film decreased the absorption rate. The onset of diffusion for Cu adatoms into Pt(111) substrate was highly influenced by oxygen, when comparing the annealing effects for Cu/Pt(111) with and without oxygen.
