摘要

A unique zigzag ··· -Bi-Fe- ··· chain forms the basis of the structure of [nBuBiFe(CO)₄]_∞ (1; see picture), which was characterzized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 was isolated from the ultrasonication of the dimeric product [{nBuBiFe(CO)₄}₂] from the reaction of [Et₄N]₃[Bi{Fe(CO)₄}₄] with nBuBr followed by acidification with HOAc.
