A 2-30-GHz MFCW Radar for Vital Sign Detection Using Variable Carrier Frequencies

摘要

This paper presents a concept of vital-sign detection using multiple-frequency continuous-wave (MFCW) radar system. Carrier frequencies from 2 GHz to 30 GHz under three types of thoracic movements are verified by using a broad band multi-channel Doppler radar system. The results show that there are different favorable vital-sign detection frequencies for different respiration conditions.
