融合原民文化與CPS科學課程：原住民國小學童能源課程設計與開發之研究(4/4)

The resource used for social welfare in a country is finite. And the dominant class has owned the privilege of distributing this resource for long. This phenomenon leads to the injustice toward minority who have less chance and benefit compared to the majority. Indigenous people in Taiwan presently are being under the predicament of lower education level, lower social status, and lower earnings below civil average. Except being influenced by cultural diversity, the poor adaptation to academic performance results from the insufficient educational resource. Due to the lack of educational resource, indigenous students commonly perform worse than ordinary ones in schools. The difference between them enlarges as they age. This circumstance occurs at the period of their higher grade in elementary school. The causes may be that the lecturing methods and the content of all textbooks are considered in terms of Chinese culture. The composition of textbooks and lecturing method in scientific and life technology field remain the same situation in recent years. This project combines the traditional customs and cultural elements of indigenous races to yield a set of educational material which is made mainly for indigenous students. Besides enhancing cognition toward their own culture, it brings them essential scientific concept concurrently and the methods of “do and learn” and “CPS” are adopted in it. Students will not only learn much knowledge concerning science but also realize the advantages of team work. Through this project, we expect improvement over indigenous scientific level. Therefore, better competitive advantage of indigenous people will take shape in the future.
