Abstract

The objective of this research is to encrypt both data and figurative watermark in personalized stamps by the modified digital halftoning techniques. The halftone dots in magenta and cyan channels are deformed and displaced to encode information. The fundamentals of halftone dot generation have been studied and some modifications have been made exclusively for Watermarking a printed binary image without visible artifact. The proposed technique in this research has been successfully applied to the personalized stamp design. Users can either perform digital image processing techniques or apply a cylindrical lens array to show the hidden figurative watermark patterns.
