Abstract

In this paper we present the new versions of two software packages, SimLIST and SimRECUFL The new user interface and the added visualizing programming feature of the software are described. Closed-lab exercise using SimLIST was conducted to better understand the suitability of using such software as visualization tools. The results of a survey after the lab exercise give indications that this hands-on approach to learning abstract concepts is a step in the right direction.
