Abstract

The multi-particle color electronic paper (MPCEP) has been proposed, and its frame rate has been significantly improved. However, the corresponding video signal processing algorithm has not yet been studied. This paper presents a new approach to video signal processing based on the Direct Binary Search (DBS) algorithm. The proposed method simultaneously considers multiple primary colors during toggling operations and accelerates processing by using Random Tiled Block (RTB). Experimental results show that this method significantly improves video quality compared to vector error diffusion-based methods and eliminates flickering between successive frames.
