Abstract

In this study,a laser headlight electric control system was developed and implemented to measure and compare the electro-optic characteristics of the laser diodes. To observe different temperatures influenced the optical output power (OOP) and electrical power variations of the laser diodes, which was placed in an ambient temperature-testing chamber, and then the electro-optic characteristics of the laser diodes could be measured to calculate the electro-optic translation efficiencies. In conclusion, the different OOPs and electro-optic translation efficiencies at different temperatures could be obtained when OOP adjustment was performed by continuous constant-current and pulse-duty-cycle modulation technologies.
