Abstract

In this paper, a channel selection algorithm is proposed to enhance the transmission rate for Scalable Video Coding (SVC). The proposed algorithm allows each scalable video coding layer to choose an appropriate channel in wireless MIMO systems to reduce the video transmission time effectively. We convert the channel selection problem into mathematical minimization problem to verify the proposed algorithm. Finally, Experimental results show that the transmission rate of the proposed method outperforms that of the existing scheme with the similar Bit Error Rate (BER).
