Time-Optimal Velocity Control of a Permanent-Magnet Synchronous Motor with a Jounce Constraint

Abstract

This paper presents a control scheme for an even but fast velocity motion of a permanent-magnet synchronous motor. While confining the jounce for a gentle motion, the proposed scheme includes a time-optimal control law so as to achieve a fast response. The proposed scheme has been practically realized and experimentally compared with other conventional schemes.
