The primary design of a game-based mobile learning for practicing Chinese language

Abstract

A mobile game-based activity was presented in this study with the guidance of learning and practicing Chinese as second language. By using existing open-source software which is free and easy-to-use as a virtual interface, this learning activity was designed to deliver real world content that are suitable for Chinese-as-a-second-language students over the mobile devices. In addition, it was expected to explore effects of mobile game-based learning on their academic achievement, motivation, and satisfaction while providing some infomation for future researches.
