Abstract

A smart surveillance system that performs image fusion for extending dynamic range and adaptively adjusts exposure for enhancing regions of interest (ROIs) is proposed. It keeps good colour constancy and better contrast for image details of ROIs. The system performance of image fusion and object tracking can achieve 4 and 10 frames/s, respectively.
