Abstract

It is believed that the quasinormal modes' frequencies of black hole will encode some universal physics of quantum gravity, and is conjectured to be related to the quantum unit of the area law of Bekenstein-Hawking entropy. In this paper we show that there is no similar universal behavior for the quasinormal modes of near extremal stringy black holes, and will in general depend on the nature of radiations. The relation between quasinormal modes' frequency and the relaxation of the black hole perturbation is commented.
