Abstract

The solvothermal reaction of zinc nitrate with 4,4′-(propane-1,3-di- yl)dipyridine and benzene-1,3-dicarboxylic acid in water and ethanol gave the title complex, [Zn2(C8H4O4)2(C13H14N2)] n. The structure displays distorted tetra-hedral ZnO3N and square-pyramidal ZnO4N groups.
