Abstract
Many researchers have noted the growing wage disparity in information societies. The reasons for this wage inequality, however, are still in dispute. This article explores the sources of wage inequality and the reasons for its rise during Taiwan's transition to an information society. Applying the Theil index for measuring economic inequality, this analysis is able to shed light on the sources of inequality.
