Abstract
Low-frequency oscillating magnetic field applied perpendicularly on the magnetic fluid thin film was studied and found to form ordered columnar lattice structures. Compared with applying dc magnetic fields, the low-frequency oscillating magnetic field would adjust the columnar lattices to be an ordered structure more efficiently.
