Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) indicates the Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is top 10 causes of death, it is critical illness in modern society. The OSA diagnosis method most of them use Polysomnography (PSG), apply to sleep disorder or sleep apnea or epilepsy, is a common standard biomedical signal processing. If do not active treatment, may be subject to sleepiness suffers accident, harm to cause death. There may be angina or myocardial infarction or stroke or sudden death during sleep. The risk of chronic diseases is more than doubled. PSG is the patient sleeping in the hospital one night, body paste multiple devices, with Electroencephalography, Electromyography, Electrocardiography, etc. But PSG is costly, complicated, time-consuming and has site limitations. Therefore, low-cost, easy to operate, the open-ended diagnostic system is designed, using computer, webcam, smartphone, microphone, pressure sensor combination of the system. The purpose of this study was to complete a simple diagnostic OSA system, but it cannot replace the PSG, just hope for early detection and treatment of OSA. This system can be applied to sleep quality observation and long-term care. Give users a comfortable, convenient and simple application environment.
