Abstract

In this paper, based on the transmittance spectrum calculated by making use of the transfer matrix method, we numerically study the effective plasma frequency for a ternary plasma photonic crystal (PPC) in the presence of static magnetic field. The results illustrate that the effective plasma frequency for the PPC will be red-shifted as a function of the static magnetic field. In the case of oblique incidence, we find that the effective plasma frequency is found to be insensitive to the angle of incidence in the TM wave.
