Abstract

Image the convenience of allowing users to retrieve a piece of music based on the music contents, especially based on an incomplete, imperfect recall of a fragment of the music. In digital music libraries, content-based music retrieval is not only technology-plausible, but also desirable by library patrons. However, several problems specific to music retrieval have made it difficult. This paper is aimed at tackling these problems and presenting a content-based music retrieval system.
