Abstract

A learning-based image recognition system using a thin photorefractive crystal plate is presented and demonstrated. The matched filter is synthesized by the modified perceptron learning network and is recorded in a 100 μm thick LiNbO3 crystal plate. The system performs a shift-invariant correlation for image recognition.
