Abstract

We compared the preferred body temperature (Tb) of fasted and satiated diamondback water snakes (Nerodia rhombifera) in linear thigmothermal gradients. We found no significant postprandial thermophily. Thermoregulatory precision varied among 6 days of testing and was most precise during the first day (24-48 hr after feeding).
