Abstract
Single crystals of the double perovskites Ba2PrRu 1-xCuxO6 with x varying from 0 to 0.2 were grown from high temperature solutions of mixed PbO-PbF2 at different temperature in the range 1100 to 1200°C. The crystals were found to grow with triangular and hexagonal plate like habit and exhibit a superconducting transition between 7 to 11.5 K in the zero field cooled state which depends both on the Cu concentration and temperature of growth. Powder X-ray diffraction, SEM and EDX analysis confirms that these are single phase crystals and contain Cu.
