Abstract
Charge fluctuations are investigated in a (Formula presented)-wave superconductor. Using a (Formula presented) tight-binding band, twin peaks show up around the incommensurate (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) at low frequencies which shift to (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) when the frequency is above a threshold (Formula presented) When the frequency is above another threshold (Formula presented) more intense peaks appear at (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) These incommensurate charge fluctuations have fairly distinct features when comparing to spin fluctuations and are fundamentally different from what should occur in a charge stripe phase.
