Abstract

We have carried out the in situ growth of Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O films in pure O2 using an ac sputtering technique. The films were grown at different O2 pressures. We have obtained superconducting Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O(2212) films which show Tc(50% resistive) = 84 K and a zero resistance at 74 K. The formation and superconductivity of the films prepared in pure O2 were compared with that prepared in a mixture of Ar and O2.
