(b) Monthly mean diurnal rainfall variability (=, unit: mm?h?1), averaged from 21 regular observational stations in Taiwan, over the focused time period of 1982?2012. The locations of the 21 selected stations are referred to in Huang and Wang (). The annual average value of the diurnal rainfall variability is added in (b) as the short dashed line.
