Abstract

A conlrol law based on the combination of a fixed and a switched control is presented. Based on this approach, the conditions for guaranteeing the occurrence of hitting and for maintaining a sliding regime for a variable structure system (VSS) with a non–linear plant are derived. Two numerical examples are presented for illustrating the proposed technique.
