Abstract

By using the electrodynamic field equations for a type-II superconductor in the mixed sate, a sinusoidal wave solution is derived for an asymmetric high-Tc superconducting transmission line in the presence of vortices. This solution can be used to numerically demonstrate the dependence of the slow mode propagation on the temperature, frequency, and static magnetic field. The effects of vortices on propagation characteristics in a superconducting strip line are thus elucidated.
