E.S.R. of gamma-irradiated LiCsSO4 crystals doped with NH4+

Abstract

A stable free radical is detected by E.S.R. in gamma-irradiated LiCsS04crystals doped with NH4+. The hyperfine pattern indicates that the unpaired electron interacts with a nitrogen nucleus and two equivalent protons and interacts weakly with a third proton. The free radical is tentatively assigned as •NH2-HSO4-.
