Effect of Electrical Stimulation of the Superior Laryngeal Nerve on Respiratory-Modulated Facial Nerve Activity in Cats

Abstract

本研究的目的是要探討顔面神經呼吸活動對上喉神經興奮的反應。貓十五隻,經戊巴比妥鈉麻醉,兩側迷走神經被切斷,於麻痺後以人工呼吸機維生。動物維持在高氧而二氧化碳在正常及增加的情況下。通電刺激上喉神經,刺激的頻率是20Hz,頻寬是0.5mSec,強度是30,50,100及150μA。電刺激上喉神經會促使顔面神經吸氣活動增強,且與刺激強度成比例增加,膈神經活動降低或不變,呼吸週期延長,這些結果表示顔面神經對調節鼻腔阻力可能扮演重要角色。
