Abstract

An aggregated economic-environmental model developed to simulate important variables regarding generation, treatment and accumulation of waste in Taiwan was discussed. It was observed that waste treatment costs and the maintenance costs under the framework of SEEA were calculated and influenced green GDP of the nation by considering waste pollution. The results show that a more aggressive scenario than the baseline was needed to achieve the EPA goal in the proper treatment rate of industrial wastes in the year 2011. The green GDP of the nation would also rise up because of deduction in SEEA's maintenance cost.
