Driving waveform design for playing animations on electronic papers

Abstract

Showing animations on electronic papers for highlighting some important items is always desirable, but none of mature driving methods have been developed. In this paper, a new driving method aiming at reducing ghost images as well as improving the panel reliability is presented. The method has been integrated with the hardware system we developed, and thereby a promising displayed quality on the electronic paper can be achieved.
