Abstract

In this paper, a non-contact measurement method is proposed to determine a single drilled through-thickness hole's diameter and depth at one shot. The method allows the measurement to be obtained by using only an image output of the single drilled through-thickness hole taken by a digital camera. Instead of using the interior orientation parameters installed to the digital camera, the calculation to work out the hole's diameter and depth was based on the measurement width of horizontal view angle designed in this paper. Henceforth, it is applicable to all brands and types of digital camera, which truly achieves the objective of this proposal.
