Abstract

A fast detection method is proposed to detect the bus route number on a moving bus. The proposed method includes moving object detection, bus panel extraction, and bus route number detection. The moving object detection uses the motion feature to detect the moving bus. The bus route number detection uses the YCbCr feature to threshold the bus route number. Experimental results show that the proposed method is very fast, and that it has a 100% detection rate for both the training and the testing sets.
