Abstract

Nowadays, courses rely mainly on traditional teaching materials to conduct learning activities, through which learners are guided by instructors to learn new concepts meaningfully and integrate and structure course contents efficiently. On the other hand, the localization and marked concept identification of augmented reality (AR), incorporated into study guides for learning activities and suitable teaching strategies, can also help learners grasp and follow an effective learning structure more easily. This study proposed the use of an AR-based Guidance and Feedback (ARGF) system to assist learning and, supplemented by teaching materials and health education course contents at the senior elementary level, to allow learners to interact with the materials and contents through the AR learning navigation system. The research results revealed that ARGF was effective in improving the learners' academic performance.
