Abstract

Variable structure control (VSC) is an effective means to keep a system insensitive to parameter variations and disturbances. In this paper we have successfully applied the VSC to implement a sinusoidal oscillator. The frequency and the amplitude of the oscillator are determined by a sliding ellipse. Simulation results are given to illustrate the proposed method.
