Abstract

For years, embedded systems or microcontrollers have had an important role in automation technologies. The objective of this study is to propose programming methods to enable such systems to perform multiple real-time control tasks. Based on a series of timer-overflow interrupts, this approach supports the microcontroller projects with satisfactory uniformity of time-base slices. The proposed methods extend the system performance from simple-as-possible (SAP) tasks to complicated ones.
