Abstract

This paper proposes a newly-designed strategy of gray prediction control based on fuzzy logic. The conception of the proposed control algorithm is that the prediction step size of gray predictor in the Gray Prediction Controller (GPC), which can be adjusted dynamically by fuzzy inference mechanism during different system response periods in order to produce superior control effect. The proposed controller is called Fuzzy-Logic-based Gray Prediction Controller, (FLGPC). The simulation results show the superiority of the proposed FLGPC in many cases. In addition, this paper applies the FLGPC to high-speed response systems, such as DC servo motor speed control, in order to verify its practicability.
