Abstract

The ease of interaction and operation of a wiki system allows for mass collaborative authoring. This paper reports how an authentic learning community is constructed through wiki for advanced group collaboration as well as knowledge sharing. In our community, each student member is assigned a role for his or her homework. Depending on their roles, students must perform different tasks and collect different information. By this way, they learn not only programming skills but also how to collaborate with teammates. Eventually the results of data analysis and grades indicate that our method can raise not only the knowledge amount effectively but also students' peer supports by using wiki.
